CHICAGO --- Robert Morris University's Linda Eshun (Takoradi, Ghana) and Olivet Nazarene University's Wendy Espejel (Ontario, Calif.) each helped their respective schools to victories over NAIA No. 16-ranked Hastings College (Neb.) this past week on their way to earning Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week accolades, which were announced Tuesday morning.

Eshun, a junior midfielder, gained the offensive award after she scored two of the Eagles' three goals, including the game winner, in the 3-2 upset victory over Hastings on Sunday.  Eshun opened the scoring at the 13-minute mark of the opening half and then nailed the winning goal with just under 12 minutes to play in the contest.

The goals were the first two scored this season by Eshun and gave the Eagles their first win of the campaign against four losses.

Espejel, a senior goalkeeper, garnered the defensive honors.  She not only limited Hastings to one goal on Saturday in a 2-1 Olivet Nazarene victory, but also helped the No. 7-ranked Tigers notch a shutout in a 3-0 nod over Aquinas College (Mich.) on Wednesday.  Espejel played the first 81:38 of that game before yielding to Amanda Siciak.

In both games, Espejel registered a pair of saves for Olivet Nazarene, which remained unbeaten at 4-0 on the season.
