CHICAGO --- Posting the fastest time among Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference runners thus far this season at the Aurora University Spartan XC Classic on Friday, Robert Morris University's Mizael Carrera (Northlake, Ill.) used that effort to gain the league's men's cross country runner of the week award, which was announced on Tuesday morning.

Carrera, a junior, placed second out of 188 competitors overall at the event, where he registered a time of 25:19 in covering the 8K distance.

Robert Morris as a team placed fifth out of 17 schools participating in the meet.
