Judson University’s Alicia Rovertoni (Columbia, Ill.) doubled her fun this past week as the sophomore forward used a pair of double-doubles to land Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Division II Player of the Week honors for the seven-day period ending January 20.

Rovertoni averaged 16.0 points and 11.5 rebounds in her two games played, where Judson split a pair of decisions.

On January 16, in an 81-61 victory over Purdue University Calumet (Ind.), Rovertoni’s statistical line included 19 points, 11 rebounds, three assists and both two blocks and two rebounds.

She then notched her fifth double-double of the season on January 19 when she registered 13 points and 12 rebounds in a 68-61 loss to conference frontrunner Trinity International University.

Besides those numbers, Rovertoni also shot 56.5 percent from the field (13-of-23) for the week. Her 23 total rebounds in the two games also made her the league’s top rebounder averaging 7.9 boards per game in 18 contests. In conference games only, that number jumps up to 10.0 rebounds per game.

Rovertoni is the second Eagle in as many weeks to capture the weekly distinction. Teammate Kelly Freistad was selected for the week ending January 13.

Judson is 6-12 overall and 1-2 in league play.
