RMU has won 12 CCAC regular season titles

Chicago, IL - The #3 ranked Robert Morris Men's basketball team defeated Roosevelt University 95-70 on Wednesday, February 22nd to win its 6th straight CCAC Conference regular season championship and 12th title overall.  The victory also raised the Eagles overall record to 25-3 and 8-1 in the CCAC.

Robert Morris wasted little time putting the game out of reach as they scored the game's first 20 points and continued their torrid pace for the entire half and game. The Eagles closed out the first half with an impressive 53-29 half-time lead. 

There was no let up in the second half either as the Eagles stretched their lead to 31 points with 14:53 left to play, much to the excitement of the boisterous and enthusiastic Robert Morris crowd. The Eagles maintained their offensive prowess and closed out the game shooting 51% from the field and 45% from 3-point range. 

Five Eagles scored in double figures, led by 24 points from Diante Watkins (Chicago, IL) and 20 points from Tremell Adams (Chicago, IL). Aubrey McAlpine (Los Angeles, CA) scored 11 points while Tori Boyd (Rockford, IL) and Donovan Buford (Chicago, IL) both chipped in with 10 points. Kenny Ogbuokiri (Aurora, IL) grabbed a game high 10 rebounds for the Eagles. 

Robert Morris closes out the CCAC Conference regular season on Saturday, February 25th against Saint Xavier University, who are receiving votes in the NAIA Top 25 Poll. Tip-off is scheduled for 3:00 P.M. on the campus of Saint Xavier in Chicago, Illinois and the game can be heard live on the Eagles Sports Network.
