Winning her first CCAC Women's Basketball (DII) Player of the Week award, along with scoring her 1,000th career point, is Purdue University-Calumet's Alex Starr (Plymouth, Ind.). Purdue-Calumet went 1-0 on the week with the win over Trinity International and now is 19-9 overall.

Shooting .625 from three-point range in her only game of the week, Starr averaged 23.0 points per game by making five three-pointers. She shot .533 overall from the field with six rebounds. She is the 15th member of Purdue-Calumet's 1,000 point club and now has scored in double figures in 23 games.
